A Storybook Inspired First Birthday Celebration in Tennessee

Celebrations

For their precious daughter’s first birthday, Anthony and Lauren selected a most befitting theme to capture their enchanted first year of parenthood, “Once Upon A Time”!

This Storybook First Birthday Celebration for their Princess, Little Miss Aviana Gem, was I was overjoyed to design, especially having designed the Couple’s Baby Shower the Winter prior.  It presented a proper design challenge – to fill their home, i.e., Price Palace, a second time for many of the same guests with a new level of curated visual wonder and delight.

The design focus for the celebration was a chic, feminine, and whimsical expression accomplished through layered shades of Pink and Blush with Champagne and Rose Gold metallic, lush fresh florals, couture custom cookies, delectable mini foods including Chicken and Waffle Minis and French Fry Shooters, and a buoyant organic Balloon Garland to frame the Dessert Display Table.

As a surprise to the Royal Family, I sought out Storybook Artist Bev Johnson of @beverlylove. I commissioned her to create character illustrations of adorable Princess Aviana and sweet moments in the family’s storied first year.  With these illustrations, I created coloring pages for both the littles and “young at heart” to enjoy and an oversized framed piece for accenting the Dessert Display.

The celebration’s ultimate highlight was a storytime read from an extraordinary surprise guest, Princess Aviana’s “Fairy Godmother” @e_dfairygodmother!

This joyous day was filled with so many precious moments. Still, nothing was more beautiful than to witness the love of this Royal Family in celebration of such a tremendous milestone, an honor I will always cherish for years to come.
